The Memory Remains...

Holaa..

So I am writing a new blog and shizz.. Was talking to a friend ( read - Monika ) who recently read my blog and all, and then told me that I should start writing again and shizz.. Was wondering what to write about, and there came a thought! I was supposed to email a friend ( read - Damini ) about one day, a day I'll never ever forget it my life.. Most of you would've guessed it by now, maybe even from the title of this post.. It's Metallica.. Do0o0d! METALLICA! METTAAAAALLLIIIICCAAAAAA! \m/

*in a Hetfield tone* YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! \m/

Ever since Metallica made an announcement that they're heading to India, bloody hell, I could see myself in the crowd going crazy!

So we had to book the tickets, and a lot had happened behind that cuz my dad dint let me book it online.. I got tired depending on my friends, and I finally did it myself and just said at home - Look, I booked it, now deal with it =P But my parents knew my love for Metallica, they cooperated ;)

Now a little intro on why I love Metallica so much!

I've been listening to Music for a really long time no, Music as in Metal.. Earlier it used to be bands like Linkin Park ( tell me who hasn't listened to them =P ) Godsmack etc etc.. Then one friend ( read - Thejus ) who shared my music tastes told me - Do0o0d, check out this song named Enter Sandman. Its by this band named Metallica. It sounds really good.

So I head back home, go online, typed Metal Sandman in Google, and up came this song, and I heard it, heard it again, and again and again and again.. Downloaded the song, put it on my then brand new Sony MP3, and head it again and again and again.. Holy shizz that was awesome, I mean, do0o0d that song =O ENTER SANDMAN! I ran to my mom - this i clearly remember - we had guests at home, and I told my mom to come to the room, made her put on the ear phones and said - LISTEN TO THIS O_O LISTEN TO THIS O_O - My mom all confused was like okay fine lets see.. and I played the song, and she responded sweetly saying - This song is nice - Aint my mom a sweetheart?

And I went on to explain - THIS IS MUSIC! THIIISS ISS MUUSIICCC! Its instantly better than all the songs I've heard yo! And then I go on a rampage! ENTER SANDMAN B's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The music took over me, it consumed me, and I more than willingly gave in.. That was the day when Metallica entered my life, among the first bands I fell in love it, that too, in an instant!

One more interesting fact! The first ever song I learnt to play on drums was For Whom The Bell Tolls!

So by now you can imagine, atleast those who know me and my love for music, just how important that this band in for me.. Its the band I grew up with. Its the band that made me who I am today. Its the band that made me love music, love metal, and now they're pretty much responsible on how I live. I dont know, I feel I've reached a point wherein I don't need to eat or drink anymore. Just plug in some earphones, play some music, and I'll be on. My life is driven by music at the moment. Even right now, as I type this, there is a song playing! Haha, and the songs name is - The Meeting of Pasts! ;)

So, along with few guys from here, I make my way to Bangalore! Reached there the day before the show, did some chilling out here and there in B'lore, and headed back to the hotel for a good nights sleep!

We had plans to reach the venue at 10am even though the gates would open only at 3. Haha, but 10 was when all of us woke up after a long night, and we headed over to the venue at around 2! We saw a massive queue outside the venue, we just walked up to the entrance, randomly cut into the line in front, got in!!! After we were in, we were like - Wtf just happened? How did we do that? - Haha, I just thanked God for that. I'm sure if anyone did that while I were already in the queue, my hands would get dirty ;)

Then we found out there are total of 3 entry points we have to pass through, and we were one down.. The 2nd one was a struggle.. lotsa pushing pulling falling abusing blah blah and we made it through the 2nd point alive and literally ran to the 3rd point, and we were greeted by a massive queue! While we were standing there, catching our breath, a random news reporter came, and took our interview and we were all delighted, and we sang, ENTER SANDMAN! HELL YEAH!

Then 2 guys randomly decided to take a walk to the front of the queue and saw someone we knew there.. the guy called us, we walked up to the front, cut the queue, and walked in hahaha! We were sooo amused by the whole thing, but we were simply over whelmed by the day that lay ahead of us!

You guys are still with me right? There's still a long way to go! Take a pee break, or go make yourselves something to drink ;)

And then we proceed to the stage and we were delighted cuz we got a place right in the front, very close to the stage, towards the right side.. We were all ecstatic! I was going crazy on the inside, but kept my cool and played it cool ;) After some crowd adjustments and all, the show finally started..

It started, Metallica Live In Bangalore, started!

Opening act by an Indian band named Inner Sanctum! They were epic! I'm a kind of person who goes crazy while music is playing.. Generally when you look at me, I look like a very calm and peaceful person, which I actually am, and if you know me, you'll think I'm quiet and sober ( though my appearance suggests otherwise ;) ha! ), and I wont really move! My friends know how hard it is to get me to do just one dance step! :) but when it comes to concerts and sows, I'm a totally different person. Headbanging is totally my thing, I will go friggin wild, and its hard to stop me from doing it.

So the band started, and played the perfect music for me to go crazy to! I take a couple of steps back, make some room for me, gave my friends a smile and just said - come, lets headbang! I let my hair long, get into the beat of the song. 1... 2.... 3... and there I go! Friggin going mad doing all the forms of headbanging I know.. I lost my balance going mad, but I dint stop, I dint want to, I was in my happy place again, and I just went on.. I stopped a little later to catch my breath, and a random guy next to me was like - dude, why did you stop, continue, let me take video! - hahah, I was very amused by this, and when I simply turned around, there were actually a lot of cameras on me - Oh yes, the attention! I'm getting attention! And it was a good thing!

So I thought ok, why not, and I restarted headbanging! And then happened a hilarious incident! As I was going wild moving my head and hair in circles, my hair got entangled in the glasses of a guy who was next to me, and I dint know, I dint stop, and there went his glasses flying someplace ahahaha, hilarious shizz it was! When I stopped, I saw the glasses being passed from left to right, and I just gave a glance and I looked at him and he was all - wtf happened :O and he was very amused haha.. I just apologized and I went about my business!

Inner Sanctum totally killed it, and I loved them! They were brilliant! Wish they had a longer set!

The next band was Guillotine! They're Indian too, but I dint like them that much. They had decent songs!

Then after a short break, came a new band which I had never heard of.. Biffy Clyro! And OMG, THEY WERE BRILLIANT! They just tore the stage up with their music and energy! They were versatile! THEY WERE FRIGGIN TIGHT! I was stunned watching them coordinate their music, and I'm pretty sure they were FLAWLESS! Seeing a name like that, I wasn't too sure, but the way they performed, INSANE!They played an awesome 45min set! I think it rained throughout their set, but damn, I don't think any of us cared, not even for a second.. Perhaps the rain made things better!

And then came the wait, the wait for Metallica. The Metallica Crew were going crazy on stage! They had to clear the water off stage, then set up everything from scratch! Metallica have around 80 people as crew! So you can imagine what all was happening! It took a while though as there were some problems, few of us were getting annoyed. My legs were giving up on me, cuz by then it was like 7.30pm.. I've been standing since 2, and all I had to eat the whole day was breakfast at 11 - 2 idli and 1 vada, and orange juice! =P

And then at around 8, the lights on stage went off, the big screen came on, and there was a huge roar of appreciation in the crowd, a massive crowd, A MASSIVE CROWD OF MORE THAN 50,000 PEOPLE! I was there for Lamb of God last year, I thought that was a crowd, but this was friggin brilliant!

And then came on the intro tape of The Ecstasy of Gold! All Metallica shows start with this tape! And we all began to hum the tune, and goosebumps all over! We knew, we all knew, we are going to witness history in the making.. We all are going to finally believe that Dreams Do Come True.. and after about 2mins..

Hetfield
Kirk
Rob
Lars

All race onto the stage, and then it began, Lars hit the first note on Creeping Death..

The crowd was going friggin insane, we went mad, I went friggin mad! We were all jumping, we dint know what was happening, it was just so much of energy, and we were all over powered but still fighting it, and The crowd went ballistic when Hetfield said - HELLO BANGALOOOOOOORE--AHH--HAAAA!

The song went on, we were going mad, jumping screaming shouting howling headbanging, we all lost control of ourselves! We let go of our worries, our differences, stress, you name it, and we were all united in the Oneness surrounding Music. Epicness was happening, History was being made! 30years for the band, 20years India has been waiting for them, and It was all finally happening!

I took out my came and took a flurry of pics quickly! I couldn't waste time holding a friggin camera, But I knew I needed something to keep as a memory! To relive it someday in the future!

And then came For Whom The Bell Tolls! And I saw Lars play that song, and I was flooded with flashbacks of how I was learning the song, remembering it, playing it in front of my friends, I saw my past as clearly as I could see the present! Seeing that I simply knew that I have been living the right life, and I definitely will continue doing the same!

Then came the song Fuel.. and Wo0o00! PYRO GALORE! We were stunned by the amazing brilliant use of Pyro in the show! It was friggin mad! We really got what we desired! Metallica were there!

Then came Ride The Lightning and we all lost it! Headbanging started then!

And then, Fade To Black - one of my favorite Metallica songs - Also brought back memories of playing this song for an Inter-School Band Competition in school! And we owned the song! And guess what, we Won that show! ;) That was just my 3rd show playing drums, and I was proud! =D The song went on well, we sang the song out loud, and during the solo of the song, I just shut my eyes, stood still and listened! My eyes were filling as I had always wanted to see this performed live, and all this was finally happening!

Then came Cyanide, and Rob was totally killing it on bass!

And then came the song, the song that will almost surely make Metallica themselves think of the Indian Crowd whenever they perform it! I'm sure we've set a standard for that song which is going to be very hard to top.. The Memory Remains! Like in every show, the crowd hums the last part of the song with guitar and drums, and then with just the drums! But we dint stop even after the drums stopped! We went on and on and on.. We say the look on Hetfields face when we weren't stopping, the look on Lars, Kirk and Rob! They were all stunned at just how we dint stop humming the song even after the end.. It was a magical moment!

Just imagine, you have a song, and you see 50,000+ people sing it in front of you, and refuse to stop! The band were clearly overwhelmed by the whole situation! I was humming along crazily as well! I dint want to stop, and I just thought to myself how proud the band must be feeling, what they must be going through when they see such a massive crowd, all of them singing their songs! Definitely humbled them, and I too found myself in tears by the end of it! I was hysterical! I was smiling, I was laughing, I was choking up, and I had my eyes fill up! But I dint stop, for Metallica, I would never stop! And finally the band claps for us, and Hetfield gets to the mike and says - You are beautiful Bangalore - And only then we stopped! I was totally blown away! I was humbled! And I was looking forward to my own life after this incident, just put myself in their place and tried to imagine.. I knew I wanted it!

And the next song, the next song, first note, we all knew it, we all erupted! Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and we went made! Singing along going crazy with the song!

And then Metallica asked us if we wanted heavy, to which there was a huge roar saying YEAH! and Hetfield, being as electric as he is said - METALLICA GIVES YOU HEAVVYYYYY and then starts the next song - Sad But True! And we all were once again going mad, and it was getting worse! We were surrendering!

That was followed by the ass kicking All Nightmare Long! A crowd pulling song and we were headbanging! I was going mad myself!

Then came the intro of bombs and gunfire, and we all knew what that meant! One of my favorite songs again - One - And as soon as song started, we all went psyched.. the acoustic beginning we were all singing like mad, and then came the heavy, and just before things went out of control, Off went the Fireworks ( I think the fireworks went off for this song, excuse me if I 'm wrong ) and we all lost it! People started going mad, moshing started, I got randomly thrown in and pushed and got pushed and then just settled to headbanging and we were all going crazy! It was friggin mad! OH NO NO NO NOOOO! *furiously headbanging*

And then came the Metallican Anthem - Master of Puppets! And crowd went psyched again, I ran away from the mosh pit cuz I dint want to hurt myself =P This was when I met 2 Arab brothers who were going mad, and they couldn't believe themselves at what they were seeing! They probably love India a lot more after the show! They came to me, said - Brother, they are infront of us!!! - gave me a big hug and the 3 of us started headbanging together and few others joined in! How ever random it may have been, we dint bother, we were all just too happy, too over whelmed with the whole thing, and we were all One with Music..

Then came friggin Blackened! And the next series of mosh pit started and I used the gap to take pics nicely =P

Then there was a small doodle by kirk, acoustic one, and we saw it coming! Probably the most recognized song of Metallica, Nothing Else Matters! And really, in that concert, nothing else mattered! The song started and I knew my friends would love this, and I took out my phone and started recording the video! Took about 1.5mins of it, and then stopped, I mean, I needed to enjoy the song! We all were waving our hands in the hair, singing along, we were at our happy place! And we were all at peace. Brilliance.

And then, it was about time, ENTER SANDMAAAANNNN! HELL YEAH!

My love and respect for this song is SO MUCH! I was just going crazy! Went friggin mad headbanging and a lot of others joined in! After headbanging to this song, I knew my neck would be dead tomorrow! =P But who cares? ITS FRIGGIN METALLICA!! *continues headbanging*

Then Metallica thanked the crowd, was about to leave, and we all knew they weren't going anywhere! We all started chanting WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE! Hetfield messed with the crowd and we loved it! And then came a new guitar on stage, and immediately started the song Am I Evil! And we loved singing that song! AM I EVVIILLLLLLL, YESSS I AMMM!!! What an epic song!

And then suddenly Metallica kicked in with a different riff, and Holy Shit, it was - Battery - And crowd went ballistic! Psyched it was and I dint know what to do, I lost it myself! I went mad! I was jumping, headbanging, hugging, holding my head! MADNESS!!

Then came the last song, and Hetfield said - its just 3 simply words - SEEK. AND. DESTORY! And that, my friends, was the icing on the cake! Everything we wanted, was all settled with that song! Metallica owned us! We surrendered to them! And I'm pretty sure they were taken over by us as well!

The show ended awesomely, lotsa guitar picks throw, drumsticks too! It was brilliant! We all knew that our dream has come true!

And it was at that moment that I realized - my legs nearly died on me before the show! but for like 2 hours after that, I dint feel a thing. Remember earlier in the blog I told you about Music and Me? That music keeps me going? Hence Proved.

Finally after a long time to exit, and a trip immediately back home, I reached my room and went flat onto the bed! Woke up with a lot of pain and went out to get painkillers! ;) Regret? HELL NO!~!!

So that, was Metallica. A day that I'll NEVER FORGET! ( Entire set list Here )

Music is all powerful! Its the only thing that will stay with us at all times. Personally for me, Music is my best friend. All through, good and bad times, my music has made things better. Music is who I want to be with. I live that way. There's a song for every mood! There's a song for every step you take! When you reach such a point, you'll not want anything else. I've reached that point wherein I let my music take me. It's not just heavy metal that I listen to! My taste in Music is diverse! There's something in every song, you just have to find what suits you best. Accept everything in music, whether its some awesome heartfelt solo from Floyd, or the growling in Cannibal Corpse, if you can appreciate it, you are a true musical person. You'll never be alone. Through all ups and downs, you'll have it ringing in your head. A voice inside which indirectly just tells you - You're not alone.

Music is what keeps me going. Music is always playing around me. Either on speakers, or I'll just be listening to it in my head. Right now, The concert is playing in my head! I hope that memory never fades! I hope The Memory Remains...

Thank You Metallica.

Ah, and those of you who missed the show, Metallica signed off saying - We will be back, very soon! ;) \m/

Passage of Life - Pun Intended...

Am I back to blogging? Probably! But this post is something that has been going in my head for quite sometime now..

Life is random.. Atleast my life is..

This weekend has been an extremely random one.. A lot of things have taken place, which has pretty much made me lose track of time itself! It will be interesting to note that I am writing this now past 3am, 3:07 to be precise.. Why? I'm basically writing only cuz I just had a nice shower, and I need to dry my hair before I get to bed.. No, hair drying is not a burden if that's what you are thinking!

Mind you, this post is going to go all over the place.. I hope I make the transitions smooth, real smooth ;) It's a long journey, I'd suggest you get comfortable before proceeding.. Pay attention! The greatest gift you can give another is the purity of your attention.. - If everyone valued this saying, all our lives would've been different heh ;)

Saturday is the day.. we had extra classes in the morning! What a scam! Somehow I dragged myself to college, got done with 3 hrs of Accounts, but it wasn't as painful as I expected it to be.. Then I got my butt to RS Puram, went around the city looking for paint, whistles etc to celebrate during the match! Came out unsuccessful, cuz OMG, paint was just too expensive, and we couldn't find any decent whistles in the city.. got few cheap ones and made merry.. Lunch was at KFC! and it was my third visit to the place in some 18hrs! I had had dinner twice there the previous day =P Gluttony FTW!

The match started, toss was hilarious! Have you guys noticed how no one is talking about it now? I mean, the riot that was happening right after the toss was just insane! and now, its all silent.. noone cares! Hypocritical much?! It would've been a totally different scenario if the match had gone the other way! Ravi Shastri might not even be alive right now! And the way things had gone, even a re-match might've been suggested! Such was the fury! But yay, India won, and we're all happy =)

I am happy too! And I'm proud of what the team has done! I did have the cheap thrills of supporting the other team during the matches, but inside, I did want India to win! I mean, think about it, you sit with a group of entire Indian fans, regardless of the result, it's slightly boring as compared to having one prick in the group supporting the opposing team! My World Cup viewing was real fun thanks to a pretty awesome friends group here! After the match, it was ME carrying the Indian flag up in the air and going around the city on a two wheeler, also not to forget the whistle! It was a psyched scene, something which I had never witnessed in my life before! Cracker bursting, people screaming; the whole city seemed awake, and I am glad that I was a part of it! Also, the midnight buffet at The Residency was kinky and I tried to make as much use of it as I could, though I wasn't all that hungry cuz we did have a feast during the match, which included a LOT of drinking - Coke 7UP for me though ;)

I am a pretty socializing person.. I have a lot of friends.. many times I do wish if ALL of us would come together and do something fun! It's not that this is not fun, I mean, this way, I get to go to a lot of places with all my different friends-groups, but the whole experience of having everyone you care about in the same place, that is definitely an awesome feeling! Coimbatore is weird that way, I mean, from the 2 years that I've been here, I have a lot of friends, but it's a pain to maintain it and go along.. Expectation is a major problem here.. Me being an outsider, pretty much to the whole country, makes it harder cuz I've seen one side of life, and comparing that to the one here, this Cbe life is just a drag.. Before getting here, I've pictured myself in college, with friends, doing a lot of things - all of which I'm not really having right now.. I can't really complain about it, it's just a life style here I guess.. but then, we've all seen the type of life which I've wanted, and the fact that noone is really doing anything to get that life, is really sucky.. Be the change you want to see? Well what do you do when 9 out of 10 people aren't bothered about what you want? So I'm just silently going with the flow.. Many preachers here, but how many actually practise it is very low.. Everyone's got Ego, I have ego too! The way I see something, is going to be different from the way you see the same thing! But peace lies at the point where we both understand what each other wants and then make a life out of it.. Communication and Compromises are the essentials for a relationship, be it just friends or for that special person..

2 years over here, and I've been staying alone.. Just me and my tiny room in the terrace of a house, with pretty much all what I want.. food is an issue, but I manage somehow.. Also my body has been blessed with good metabolism and shizz, I can afford to eat just burgers, pizzas and fast food like that THROUGHOUT the week! Hey, I exercise too! - Staying alone is a different experience! I get a lot of time to myself which makes me think about the various aspects of my life! One problem which I face here is the lack of maturity of most of the people here.. else they are mature, but I simply don't connect with them on my idea/level of maturity! There is absolutely noone! There is this girl who I connect really well with, but sometimes there's that little thing of boosted maturity I am looking for, she can't provide it, but hey, she does try pretty well.. Now how many of you are trying to make me and this girl a couple? Very mature of you I must say ;)

Yes its true that I kid around a LOT.. I like being childish when I'm with my friends, but not too childish, I stay within limits.. Many of my friends do call me a kid, but so long as they know that a mature side exists, its cool, if you don't, our friendship is questionable! The scene is much more relaxed being childish, where you don't have to care about anyone for that matter.. Just do what you want and get on with it.. Maturity makes things serious a bit, and at this stage of life, seriousness in the things you do which are not really relevant, not really necessary.. Just sit back and chill..

I miss having a friends group which involved girls on an 'equal' level! It's college, and I'm still hanging out with a bunch of guys - don't mistake this as the guys are boring, no way, I have a really good time with all of them almost everytime we get together to do something! But you know it, the movies you've watched, the people you've met.. Girls bring about a whole new dimension to the group! It's not available here, at all.. Yes in college we hang out, but its college, its not really a hang out spot! I do wish for a real fun time, bunch of guys, girls, all of us getting together and doing something! The guys definitely wouldn't mind, the girls wouldn't either I suppose, parents will be a pain, but wanting something and not even trying for it, it's you yourself to blame! I remember back in Bahrain, I used to shamelessly make myself known in the family of my girl-friends! How ever weird/funny/whatever it may sound, you have to admit, once their parents trust you, you've done yourself and the girl a huge favour! I was pretty successful that way, and my name saved them from a lot of trouble, and some of them even just 'used' my name to hide something =P

Now my way of talking to a girl is basically just through the phone, at night, and I'm a friggin owl, so most of the time, they just fall asleep while we're talking.. No, I'm not boring I swear! But now a days, even the night talking has gone.. life feels pretty gay! Right now, there is only one person in the whole world who knows me as much as anyone can know me.. And I love this girl for that very reason, she is my idea of perfection, she is a female version of me, and I know she has a huge smile on her face while she's reading this =) and please, don't couple me with this girl okay?

Sleeping brings me to Saturday night, where I stayed over at a friends place, where we slept off to the news about how psyched the whole nation was after the match! and then wake up the next morning, not knowing what to do the entire day! I remembered that my band was planning to meet up, so I made a few calls, and put the meeting up plan to action! The meeting up we thought would be, wasn't exactly the meeting up that finally was!

Around 1.30pm we all meet up at my guitarists place, talking, and having a drink.. a little chit chat and we decided to get something to eat, and made plans to go to a friends restaurant.. and we head to the place, not knowing what is there to eat.. we go there and we see a bunch of Political Party people and we're all o0o0o and lol-ing about it! We're standing there, with our long hair, fancy beards and whatnot! We pretty much become the Apples of peoples eyes! Slowly slowly they come talk to us, some drunk, some out of curiosity! Some come questioning us about our hair and stuff! We found it pretty amusing, and pretty annoying, but what the hell, such things are bound to happen with an appearance like ours! We being eating some chilly chicken and stuff, and these party people come sit with us, and thus began their game, not game, more like their whoring themselves out, for getting out votes to their party! We knew what was happening and it was pretty hilarious! The places they go, the things they say, just for getting some votes.. and to think, these people are dead sure that their party is infact going to win! I'm completely aloof to all this political shit.. I like being that way.. Ignorance is proving itself to be bliss, and I plan to stay blissful!

These people in their desperate efforts to get our support, force us to have 'something'.. and we declined the offer saying no noo not necessary, we were being a bunch of nice guys there ;) and then before you know it, they bring us some nice Brandy! And we all texted each other saying - LOL what a bunch of Dumbeffs! And they pour us all a drink and I grab hold of the 7UP can cuz I dint want to be left alone, and they joined us too, looouu was happening I say! And as we talked and talked, they suddenly say about a 'game' happening, and then it comes out as a 'fight'.. and we were like - whaaaaat? and they're like - Cock Fight! And all out eyes lit up, partly cuz of the pun, and partly cuz of the actual thing! And they invited us to come and watch this fight-game! Then they proceed to tell us that it's not a legal thing, so it's held in a far off place etc.. Yeah, you guys are probably thinking - you shouldn't go! - but hey, we knew a couple of people there, and hence it was perfectly safe!

So we take the car and follow these guys - who btw, have CRORES in their banks, all thanks to the sale of their land/property! But the live their lives as if they have nothing.. The 'milkman' for example, sold his land for nearly 3 Crores! and he is STILL a 'milkman'! This concept was new to us! We being a band, we get little little money for our shows and we know the happiness when it's in our hands, some of us safe, some of us just go on a spend frenzy, but either way, we have the money - to spend - and not for living poor and selling milk :/

After a pretty long drive into the place, which is btw, surrounded by massiivve windmills, and apparently, they are not even the big ones! This sight was a really rare one, I mean, its far off from the city, and I'm sure half the people in the city haven't even seen it! Psyched view it was, and windmills means an awesome breeze throughout, and awesome it was.. Finally we reach the place, park the car, and walk about 500mts into the place where we see a bunch of people standing together and a bunch of 'Cocks' Haha ;) you dirty dirty people!

So we were witnessing our first cock fight! The uncertainty of the game was crazy! We saw one bird beat up the other bird, there was blood dripping, but out of the blue, this bird just jumps and slits the other birds neck, and that bird is K.O! Just left to die! We were slightly disturbed after seeing that, but hey, it was even more exciting.. Cockfights happen over bets, and these so called low class poor people, bet only in figures of 1000s! We were all zoned out thinking about that! After that, we made our way back to the car, a had an awesome drive back to the city, listening to some awesome music and making all of us feel really good about how the day turned out to be! We were just going to hang out for a while and get back home, but this is what finally happened! The others were extra happy - FREE BOOZE YO! And then we made our way back to the city, and decide to go to the mall, cuz one of our friends shop was opening there!

The things we learnt from this experience were - Politics is way more deep than just government. Plans are made to be broken. Unplanned happenings make life more exciting! And the meaning of the saying - Life is what happens when you are busy planning things =)

Now the time is 4.07 and guess what! My hair is dry and I can finally go sleep! Yes my owl-like behaviour will let me complete this post, but Life is random - why? - Tomorrow (today) being a public holiday, I have Extra Class, that too, Accounts AND Tax! So I HAVE to get some sleep, and wake up in another 4hrs! Now life is random and pretty sucky as well :/ =P

Okay, this is written the next day, around 2am! Same reasons ;)

Mall was very random and pretty fun.. saw TONS of people, and there was a live band playing some famous Hindi and Tamil songs.. they did a pretty good job with that! I'm not that big a fan of such much, but have to admit, they were entertaining.. except the female singer who was singing as if she was getting whipped! pattiiissshhkkkk! =P Was pretty funny.. lotsa people were laughing watching us laugh at her lol..

After that we guys go out to have some dinner, then we make our way for the movie Faltu, which is basically the remake of the movie Accepted, except that Accepted is a 10, while this is like a 5 :/ But the movie was good on a different level.. I for one loved the friends group in that! Three guys and one girl, all close friends! And like I said earlier, the girl adds a whole new dimension to the group.. and it was actually really nice to see how these people got along and did their things! Inspirational in a way as well..

I'm not into the whole studying scene.. I do study pretty decently, but my heart really lies with Music, I'm a Drummer.. I'm not that interested in 'learning' music.. I am ZERO in theory, but I can play a whole lotta things, and I know for a fact that if I want to learn something related to drums, I'll give it all I've got to get it done! Making music is my thing! And I want to play with a really good band, and do something good.. My band here is good, but the lack of opportunites SUCKS! I know the feeling when I'm sitting behind the kit, doing what I love, headbanging, make the others watch you, get themselves pumped, and then simply headbang to your beats and break their necks! This is my form of dancing, and I friggin love it! I've been to pubs and people have seen me standing like a stiff rod, or else trying to move and failing miserably! Thats just me.. you compare that with me in a concert, you'd think you've never known me ;)The rush you get when you are on stage playing an awesome song, it's something non musicians won't understand! I sit behind the kit wanting to give my very best to the audience! My drumkit is my happy place! I am in a whole new world, where nothing except the music matters, where I don't care what you think of me, and I have no time to think of you! Tear me apart and then put me behind a kit, I'll forget whatever happened and go into a trance, which I don't want to get out of..

Music field is very interesting, risky, awesome, doubtful.. the Pros and Cons are immense, and you have to be really good combined with a substantial amount of luck as well! I am presently staying without my kit in my room, its at my friends place, and I know for a fact that IF I had the kit, I'd be twice as good as I am now! This fact hurts me a bit, makes me feel like I've lost time, but ultimately I know that I still have time to learn it all..
To go about this risky business, I'd need to like 'insure' it with some studies happening.. I'm still working on that aspect, and it's pretty confusing.. I like Management, and I also like Psychology! Just too many paths to choose, but the heart lies in one place, and that place is so close, but still so far...

What do we want, and what are we doing to achieve it? You'll notice some opposition.. You want a chocolate, but you don't want to go and get the damn chocolate yourself.. Somehow finally you get the chocolate, but you simply wont open the damn thing and eat it.. This is what I've noticed most people do.. If you want it, go get it - Life is SO much easier that way..

Life as we know it, is different from the life that we want.. The life that we want, is the life that we are unable to work towards to.. It basically comes to you, you and you.. It's in our hands what we do with our life.. make it or break it, its all in your hands..

I'm a Bahraini before I'm an Indian! And what a controversy I am to my friends when it comes to this aspect! What do you expect me to do? :/ When life is made difficult for absolutely no reason, you'd obviously want to move away, ESPECIALLY cuz you've seen the better life! When you see awesomeness, the next awesome thing is something equal to the awesomeness you've seen, or something even better than that.. I'm on a quest to find this awesomeness! Be it people, or even a special person.. I'm hunting for the life that was, and after I get it, I want to top it!

The life we want, may not be the life we get! We give up there without realizing the fact that the life we want is infact very much achievable! We need to work, as a team, and move the whole group together, step by step! Only through communication and compromises we can achieve the target.. not to forget the hardwork which has to be put into play.. you will definitely need the boosts, you will need the luck.. How to get them? Make the first step and your path will come right infront of you.. Opportunities will flow! And we saw this being put into action in a GAME, a very important game which brought the World Cup to India.. Heh, who thought there's soo much to learn from a simple game of cricket? ;)

Stay positive and open minded.. it'll bring a whole lotta difference to your world.. Its 'The Secret' afterall..  Set your mind to it, and things will just follow.. We just have to be sensible in the choices we make! Life has its ups and downs.. When things hit rock bottom, the only way it can go from there is UP! We know whats right and whats wrong, but its the taking for granted that screws everything that we believe in.. Procrastination is a deadly disease! Be true to yourself, be true to everything around you.. Karma doesn't have to be a bitch; afterall, a Dog is a mans best friend right?

These are just some of my insights into whats really happening in the world, all from my personal experiences and observations.. It's something worth sparing a thought for.. And if you've made it this far into the post, pat yourselves on the back! Spare the rod, spoil the child - Spare a thought, change your life! And as promised, I've taken you guys all over the place in this post ;)

Now, is life that random or do we know whats happening? You decide..

Hello everyone!

Day started off as usual, and it was COLD in my room and I dint wanna wake up.. But then I had to, and the day and all started off as usual.. Moiz was again being unusually fast =P

Then class started.. first was marketing.. and she was teaching a little.. Then General Studies and it was sad scene! Break I had someone some lunch =P and random stuff here and there, and was walking around a little..

Then Management and it was boring as usual.. infact, VERY boring.. then Maths, and she gave free.. and we were eating Pasta in class! Thanks to Rashmi! This Rashmi girl is really pretty btw!

Anyway, then break.. and ate some food in class.. then in Dev's car had Suvesha's lunch.. Dev had bought nice Paneer Frankee! But Suvesha B, the most horrible person in the world, ate it all!!! There was one left, and she dint even keep it for me! And later, she dint let Waseem eat her lunch also! So bad she is! =P
Then in VB I had 2 chicken rolls, 1 chicken puff and awesome low sugar-extra strong cold coffee!

THEN! THE EVENT OF THE DAY!

I DROVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!1

It was awesome! All thanks to Dev who let me use his car and all.. and I think I did pretty well going forward.. When taking reverse, I hit the accelerator a little to hard and the car flew back and I hit the brakes hard, the car went off and it dint start bwhahahahha! Then we pushed pushed and finally it started!

Suvesha drove too! For like 10mts.. and was asking us - HOW TO STOP? WHERE ARE THE BRAKES! ahahahahahah! Somehow we did.. and then dint let Suvesha touch the car again =P Crazy Woman!

Then back in class, and it was the Law sir, dictating accounts sums OMG! its SO annoying! I wonder why he even teaches :/ Then Tamil and it was an annoying drawing class =P

Then back home and Moiz was trying to cross 100kmph! Ha! He couldn't! =P

Then relaxed a little, listening to Neuromist! They have some really nice music! Check it out!

Then talked to lady love.. exercised.. air drumming.. nice warm bath.. made soup had it with bread while watching House and then came online.. Started the blog..

Anyway, the scene still remains the same as yday.. so when I make progress, Then the blog will make progress as well!

Till then - Song of the Day - My Dying Bride - Bring Me Victory. An awesome song, and a pretty awesome video! This song is on the softer side, Doom Metal.. clean vocals.. check it out!

Goodnight!

Wearing : Black tee, Grey Shorts
Weather : Pleasant

Hello hello hello! I. Am. Back. =O

Anyhoo, I had gone to Kerala and all.. Cuz my parents came.. I went and gave them a surprise visit, thanks to Dev's idea and his help to get the tickets! Went by the night bus! Sneakily planned with my driver as well.. Reached home at 5.15am, and gave parents a shock they'll never forget ;)
Just hung out with them for 2 days, Ate like crazy shit, went to KFC as well! Was good fun!

Anyway, today was a boring day.. was a half day as well!

Math was usual stuff, fun!

Accounts was BLEH!

Break was goodshit, cuz everyone shared their lunch cuz it was half day!

Then Management was boring

Marketing was free and boring.. fiddling with fone, thats all

Then we were going home.. went to VB and Dev treat =D Had cold coffee and chicken roll! =D Also had awesome lunchs of Dev and Suvesha!

Then back home, watched the movie Lost In Translation.. was pretty nice.. Talked to ladylove for a while as well.. having some arguments, the scene is not that great at the moment.. Hoping it will all sort out with time.. then chatting with Shuruti for a long time.. Was texting Meera-Sistah for a while about creepy things! I tried to creep her out and all, but she played along, so plan was a failure! =P But fun! Had coffee too!

Then Air drumming to Lamb of God's album Wrath! Was lotsa fun OMG!

Then had my bath, the water was hot coming out of the pipe, but it was cold through the shower! So took a cold water bath while I am actually having a pretty bad cold! :/

Unusually I'm not feeling hungry omg! I just have a craving for chocolates, and eating chocolates is exactly what I'm doing lol ;)

Then was talking to people online, and feeling very lazy to blog.. also I had little work to do/deal with certain things, so cuz of all that, and cuz my moods not all that great, I'm not putting anything in the news section and all..

I'm basically missing something.. so I'll wait till I get it, and that will definitely boost my spirits.. and then I can go back to my good blogging days! So yeah, excuse me for a while if I don't blog/write boring blogs! But I'll try my best to keep it all interesting =)

Just a Song of the day - Anathema - Are You There? Its a lovely soft song.. Do check out the lyrics.. its there in the video.. Its amazing.. and I'm sorta relating to it a lot at the moment..
Here's an Alternate Acoustic Version.. Both are AWESOME!

Goodnight!

Boneless...

Now Playing : Yakuza - The Ant People.. Listening to this band for the first time, pretty good stuff! Experimental, Jazz, Prog Metal!
Wearing : All white!
Weather : Pleasant..

Hello there! Today has been an okay day.. no big events.. time just went by..

Started off all as usual.. nothing new..

First was Math and it was fun.. Then Marketing and it was okay.. free!

Then Break and we did nothing.. dint eat either!!

Then it was Management.. and he taught a little.. was pretty boring.. then Accounts and the loser woman gave us 2 sums to complete and our class did mass copying and submitted the book! =P

Then break again.. and had a bit of everyone's food.. then went to VB and had a limejuice and a Chicken Roll.. Ishtupid boy Shabari snatched a piece from me and I got it back 8) =P Call me Joey, I wont share stuff like that! I'll randomly pay for our food though, that is if you are nice to me =) Now don't sugarcoat stuff to me tomorrow! Its not valid anymore! =P

Oh incident of the day..
We were randomly talking about the window display thing.. and AIDS awareness came up.. Suvesha's idea.. and I said - Suvesha and I will be partners! and poor little unsuspecting Suvesha thought that to be 'support' and held onto my arm with a big smile! All others staring.. then I continued - We can show the world how to 'do' it! and Suvesha suspects something weird.. and I was like - Don't worry, its AIDS awareness.. Condoms will be used =) - Suvesha goes all  CHEEEE and then was like - why do you need ME for that? and I say - It's kinkier when the girl puts it for you *rawr*.. everyone's goes crazy laughing.. Suvesha just stands there, under the sun, staring at me with super disgust.. and I whispered Incest! and cool-ly walked away... HA!

Then we went back.. had an awesome drifting session hahahaha.. and then we got stuck behind a truck for a long time.. ended up late to class and we were locked outside.. after some 20mins, out tutor came, we explained the truck incident and they finally let us in.. It was lab time.. and there were not enough computers.. so they told a few of us to go back to class.. and there we were just chilling.. talking.. listening music..

Then Tamil.. it was bigfecksadscene! It's hard to draw those figures aka Tamil alphabets.. and the sir is super suxx00rrzzz! =P Praveen was going mad seeing how I write my tamil! Ah, what to do! Its like drawing classes all over again! ;)

Then I got back.. made Nidhi (( see, I'm not calling you Senior Nidhi anymore! )) look stooopid and her best comeback was - Your hairs not nice anymore! - EXCUSE ME! When did you look at your hair the last time? =P I'm going to send her a pic of my hair and make her cry now! =P

Then got back.. Moiz was driving super speed and turning around and talking to me and leaving the handle and driving.. nutcase.. I can tolerate high speed, no problem.. but you do shit like that, Its creepy! I have Ladylove to take care of  :@ (( oh oh, someone copy paste this line and  text it to Ladylove from me? *scores* ))

Then back in my room.. the house I stay in, they are painting.. so they all were painting my side of the room today.. anyway, that dint affect me so.. Then I went online.. checked out usual stuff.. nothing was there.. Then put some Equilibrium, a Folk/Viking Metal band.. was heavy, but a good listen.. relaxed nicely, dozed off.. Then talked to Ladylove for a while.. time went by..

Then air drumming to Be'Lakor - Countless Skies and Chimaira - The Venom Inside.. Both are awesome, lovely, fun songs! Then usual exercise rounds and all.. Then went out.. bought a Chicken Biryani and Chilli Chicken! Hogged that nicely while watching Friends.. Then online for a while, talking to Shuruti, she was hitting on my BTW! and then went for bath, cuz she bored me =P Naawww <3 Had a nice bath, shampoo and all.. and then came here and started writing this Blog.. and YAKUZA IS PRETTY DAMN GOOD! There's a Saxophone!
